Ashok Chawla resigns as Chairman of India's largest exchange NSE

Ashok Chawla on Friday resigned as the Chairman of National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), India's biggest stock exchange. This comes after the CBI informed a Delhi court that it has obtained sanction from the respective ministry to file charges against him and four other former bureaucrats in the Aircel-Maxis case. Chawla also recently resigned as Yes Bank's Non-Executive Chairman.
