Ashton Kutcher-backed startup unable to pay staff: Report

US-based fintech startup Neighborly, backed by actor Ashton Kutcher's Sound Ventures, reportedly informed its employees it is unable to pay them, after failing to raise funds. The startup's Founder Jase Wilson reportedly asked the staff to stop working. He later said the payroll stop was needed while Neighborly restructures away from municipal bonds to focus on financing fibre broadband services.
