Ashwini Vaishnaw backs bullet trains for short travel, says 'Nobody will fly on these routes'

Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has warned airline investors while backing bullet trains for short-haul travel, saying, "Nobody will fly on these routes." India's upcoming high-speed rail network will cut travel time between Mumbai-Pune (48 mins), Pune-Hyderabad (1 hr 55 mins), Hyderabad-Bengaluru (2 hrs 8 mins), Chennai-Hyderabad (2 hrs 55 mins) and Bengaluru-Chennai (78 mins), he added.
