ASI asked to conduct carbon dating of ancient temple found in Sambhal
The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has received a letter from UP's Sambhal district administration to conduct carbon dating of the Bhasma Shankar temple that was recently discovered during an anti-encroachment drive there. A well has also been found inside the temple, Sambhal District Magistrate Rajender Pensiya said. The temple was reopened recently after 46 years of closure.
