Asian stocks fall up to 4% as Trump says US will hit Iran 'extremely hard'
Asian shares fell up to 4% in early trade, while crude oil prices surged past $105 per barrel on Thursday. This comes as President Donald Trump said US is going to hit Iran "extremely hard" over the next two to three weeks. Japan's Nikkei was down 1,005 points, or 1.87%, while South Korea's KOSPI fell 210.37 points, or 3.84%.
