Asia's first gay games kicked off in Hong Kong despite opposition

Despite opposition from anti-LGBTQ lawmakers and human rights activists, the Gay Games Hong Kong commenced on Saturday, marking the first such event in Asia. The opening ceremony featured a march-in by GGHK, the Federation of Gay Games, and global delegations. More than 2,300 participants from 45 nations will participate in a range of games, including dragon boat racing and mahjong.
