Asim Munir was sacked by ex-Pak PM Imran Khan within 8 months as ISI chief: Report
Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir was removed as ISI chief by ex-PM Imran Khan in 2019, just eight months after taking charge. Munir, whom US President Donald Trump has called his "favourite Field Marshal", later went to London and returned to power as Army chief in 2022, following Khan’s ouster. A leaked document claimed that US was behind Khan's ouster.
