Assam agrees to possibly paying ₹12,500 crore to Adani Group for power it can't use: Report

BJP-led Assam government has agreed to pay Adani Group for excess coal power it won't be able to consume, The Reporters' Collective reported. This agreement could potentially see the state paying over ₹12,500 crore over five years for being unable to use the power. Assam has pledged to buy 3,200 MW coal power in a phased manner from 2030.
