Assam Cabinet approves Defence Park in Nagaon's Nellie

The Assam Cabinet on Tuesday approved allocation of 6,000 bighas of land near Nellie, Nagaon district, for a Defence Park to promote defence equipment manufacturing. The cabinet also approved a CBI inquiry into July 2026 floods in Sivasagar and Charaideo, an extra ₹200/quintal support for farmers, and five ropeway projects across Assam.
