Assam children dry books on road after floods, govt promises free replacement

The Assam government has announced it'll provide free replacement textbooks to students after a video of children drying their books on the road after the floods was widely shared on social media. "The textbooks will be dispatched as soon as schools reopen," Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu said. "This is the spirit of youth," one person commented on the video.
