Assam CM inaugurates India's 1st AI-backed bank branch in Guwahati

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated India's first AI-powered digital banking branch of Slice Small Finance Bank in Guwahati. It would allow customers to access advanced facilities through AI-enabled kiosks and remove the need to repeatedly visit the branch, bank executives said. "This is a 'phygital' branch where customers can receive assistance whenever required," Slice MD Rajan Bajaj said.
