Assam elephant roams with tractor tyre stuck around neck, rescued

A wild elephant in Assam's Golaghat was rescued after a tractor tyre got stuck around its neck. The animal was spotted wandering through a tea garden in Bokial, Numaligarh, while searching for food. Forest officials spent hours removing the heavy tyre, which could have restricted movement or caused serious injuries. IAS officer Supriya Sahu called the rescue "a relief".
