Assam floods caused ₹480 crore damage, 26,681 houses affected: CM

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday said that the floods in the state caused damage worth ₹480 crore and affected 26,681 houses. He added that 96,842 families, which had been affected by the floods, have received ₹15,000 each, and the government will expedite house construction in affected districts. The state government has spent ₹146.26 crore for interim relief.
