Assam launches 30-day training for 73 excise officers

The Assam Excise Department has launched a 30-day residential training programme for 73 enforcement officers at Lachit Borphukan Police Academy in Dergaon. Inaugurated by IAS officer Virendra Mittal, the curriculum covers investigation methods, raid management, and legal compliance to strengthen action against illegal liquor networks across the state.
