Assam orders deportation of man declared foreigner to Bangladesh

The district administration in Assam's Biswanath has ordered the deportation of Kayam Ansari to Bangladesh. Ansari, who was arrested on May 28, 2025, was declared a foreigner and a Bangladeshi citizen by the Foreigners’ Tribunal and is currently being kept at a transit camp. The administration further said if he fails to comply, steps will be taken for forceful deportation.
