Assam Police officer Junmoni Rabha, who had arrested her fiancé, dies in accident

Junmoni Rabha, an Assam Police sub-inspector, died after her car collided head-on with a speeding truck on National Highway 37. "We heard a big sound and on reaching the spot, we saw the...vehicle was almost smashed," a local resident said. Notably, Rabha had arrested her fiancé on charges of fraud last year and was subsequently arrested in the same case.
