Assam's Dibrugarh to resume int'l trade via Brahmaputra after 80 yrs

Assam's Dibrugarh is set to resume international cargo trade through the Brahmaputra River after nearly 80 years, with two vessels carrying 1,080 tonnes of methanol to Bangladesh from the Bogibeel port. This would mark the beginning of commercial operations at the newly constructed inland water port. The two vessels are expected to cover about 783 km in roughly seven days.
