Assam tea fetches record ₹800/kg at auction, CM Himanta highlights global demand

A premium lot of BOPSM-grade tea from Assam's Deckiajuli Tea Estate fetched a record price of ₹800 per kg at the Guwahati Tea Auction Centre. "Assam Tea is brewing new records for the world," CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said, adding that the feat reflects the growing global demand for Assam Tea. Deckiajuli Tea Estate is owned by Parry Agro Industries.
