Assam's Sarusajai Stadium converted into 1000-bed COVID-19 facility

The Assam government has converted Guwahati's Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, also known as Sarusajai Stadium, into a COVID-19 isolation facility where at least 1,000 people can be quarantined. The COVID-19 tally in the state has reached 2,25,822 and the death toll has risen to 1,142. The number of active cases stands at 6,316, according to the state government's data.
