Assassinated Afghan hero's son Ahmad Massoud seeks weapons from West to fight Taliban
Ahmad Massoud, son of late Ahmad Shah Massoud, wrote an opinion piece for The Washington Post, asserting that he's ready to follow footsteps of his father, who fought against the Taliban and was assassinated in 2001. Writing from Panjshir Valley, Massoud sought weapons from the West to fight the Taliban. "The Taliban isn't a problem for...Afghan people alone," he stated.
