Asteroid strikes Earth, creating fireball over Philippines

A small asteroid, 2024 RW1, collided with Earth on September 4, producing a bright green fireball over the Philippines. The 3-foot asteroid was discovered only hours before impact by the Catalina Sky Survey. Space agencies, including NASA and ESA, confirmed the event. This marks the ninth time an asteroid has been detected before striking Earth.
