Asthma, COPD medicine sales hit 3-year-high as AQI worsens

The sales for asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) medicines in November recorded 8% increase YoY, highest growth in three years, according to PharmaTrac data. The spike was most pronounced in north, where air quality index has breached hazardous levels. UP and Uttarakhand saw 22% growth, while Punjab-Chandigarh and Delhi-Haryana saw 17% and 9%, respectively.
