Astronaut captures 'world's oldest desert' from space, shares pics
Astronaut Andreas Mogensen took to X to share pictures of the Namib desert he captured from space. He wrote, "It's perhaps the world’s oldest desert, stretching back 55-80 million years. A little inland of the sand dunes, is the Brukkaros Mountain." He added, "Although it looks like a meteor crater when seen from space, it is actually a caldera."
