Astronaut shares pics of Dead Sea from space; says 'Intrigued by these straight lines'

Italian astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti has shared pictures of Dead Sea from the International Space Station. "I was...intrigued by these straight lines at the southern end of the Dead Sea - turns out it's a complex of Jordanian salt evaporation ponds," she wrote. She also shared pictures of Israel's Haifa and Tel Aviv at night.
