Astronomers detect radio waves from planet 63 light-years away from Earth

Astronomers have detected radio waves coming from Beta Pictoris b, an exoplanet around 63 light-years away from Earth and 10-times the mass of Jupiter. Researchers used a radio telescope array in South Africa and detected rapid, repeating, strongly circularly polarised radio bursts. Researchers believe the radio bursts could be linked to auroras and a powerful magnetic field around the planet.
