Astronomers find molten planet with permanent ocean of mushy magma
Astronomers have identified a planet that is neither rocky nor liquid and exists as a molten, mushy mass. The study published in 'Nature' said planet L 98-59 d, roughly 1.6 times the size of Earth, stores large amounts of sulphur in a permanent ocean of magma. The surface temperature of the planet is estimated to reach 1,900 degrees Celsius.
