Astronomers may have found giant exoplanet 140 light-years away

Astronomers potentially discovered HD 156295 b, a giant exoplanet ~6 times Jupiter's mass, orbiting in the habitable zone of a hot, super-bright star 140 light-years away. Found using pulsation timing technique, it may be the first planet in such a star's habitable zone. Findings highlight potential for ESA's upcoming PLATO mission.
