Astronomers track 1st comet likely from beyond Solar System

Astronomers using Hawaii-based Pan-STARRS-1 telescope have tracked an object whose trajectory suggests it is a comet which escaped from a nearby star, rather than drawn in by the Sun's gravity. If the eccentric, hyperbolic orbit is confirmed, it would expand our understanding of space and provide tangible evidence that solar systems can "swap" comets, said researchers.
