At least 21 abducted children rescued by Nigerian security forces

At least 21 school children abducted by armed groups in northwestern Nigeria were rescued by the country's security forces on Monday. Police spokesman Mohammed Shehu said that the children were kidnapped on December 31 from Bakura while they were travelling to Katsina state. "[The security forces are] currently working to rescue the remaining victims and apprehend the perpetrators," Shehu added.
