At least 9 killed as sleeper bus catches fire after collision in Karnataka

At least nine people were killed and 21 injured after a private sleeper bus caught fire following collision with a lorry in Karnataka's Chitradurga. The lorry travelling from Hiriyur towards Bengaluru crossed central divider and rammed into the bus coming from opposite direction. PM Narendra Modi condoled the loss of lives and announced ₹2-lakh ex-gratia for families of the deceased.
