In the first Test between England and West Indies, Gus Atkinson put his hand up as a successor James Anderson as he took 7-45, the second-best figures by an Englishman on Test debut. After completing his five-wicket haul with three scalps in one over, he removed Alzarri and Shamar Joseph to help bowl the visitors out for just 121.
