Attempt to recreate how astronauts feel on seeing Earth from space

Missouri University researchers aim to recreate the 'intense emotional experience', called "Overview Effect", which several astronauts reported on seeing Earth from space. About 100 volunteers will wear a VR headset and get into a dark, salt-laden flotation tank at a Missouri spa. Astronauts described it as a feeling of being humans above everything else, living on a planet without boundaries.
