Aurangzeb called himself Alamgir, died a defeated man in Maha: Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said Aurangzeb, who called himself Alamgir (conqueror of the world) and fought the Marathas, died a defeated man in Maharashtra, adding, "His tomb is located on its soil." Paying tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his 345th death anniversary, Shah remarked, "Shivaji Maharaj's tremendous willpower, determination, and courage continue to inspire the country."
