Aurora seen from Ladakh as severe geomagnetic storm hits Earth

Aurora lights were visible from Ladakh last month due to an intense geomagnetic storm that hit the Earth, the Indian Institute of Astrophysics said as it released a video of the event. "It is extremely rare to see aurora at such a low latitude," the institute said. "Such a severe geomagnetic storm last occurred in 2015," the institute added.
