Aus approves use of MDMA, magic mushrooms for treating depression
Australia's Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) said it is approving the psychedelic substances MDMA and psilocybin, commonly known as ecstasy and magic mushrooms, for medical use. From July, psychiatrists will be able to prescribe the two substances to treat depression and post-traumatic stress, TGA said, adding, it had found "sufficient evidence for potential benefits in certain patients".
