Aus flags China's military buildup, warns of pressure on Southeast Asia

Australian Defence Minister Richard Marles said China's military build-up was creating a "condition of pressure" in Southeast Asia. This comes after China deployed hundreds of coast guard and navy vessels to patrol disputed areas of the South China Sea. Australia had also criticised China's test of a nuclear-capable missile in the South Pacific, calling the launch "destabilising."
