Aus sues 3M for ₹13,600 crore over forever chemicals contamination
Australia launched legal action against 3M over contamination from firefighting foam it supplied that contained 'forever chemicals', seeking over A$2 billion (over ₹13,600 crore) in damages. These chemicals do not naturally break down, raising concerns over accumulation in ecosystems, drinking water and the human body. The claim against the chemical maker is the largest ever brought by Australia.
