Australia won their T20 World Cup 2026 opener against Ireland by 67 runs at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Wednesday. Australia posted 182-6 in their 20 overs with Marcus Stoinis scoring 45(29). In reply, Ireland were dismissed for 115, with Nathan Ellis and Adam Zampa claiming four wickets each. Notably, this was Ireland's second defeat of the tournament.
