Australia bans DeepSeek from govt devices over security concerns

Australia has banned Chinese AI startup DeepSeek's services from all government systems and devices, citing national security concerns. A threat assessment by the country's intelligence agencies found the technology posed an unacceptable risk, Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke said on Tuesday. "The government will not hesitate to act when our agencies identify a national security risk," he added.
