Australia exit T20 World Cup in group stage after 17 years

Australia, who have been eliminated from T20 World Cup 2026 in the group stage, have exited a T20 World Cup in group stage after 17 years. The last time they were eliminated in group stage was the 2009 edition. This is only the second time that they have been knocked out in the group stage.
