Australia refuses to join hands with China against US tariffs

Australia has declined China's proposal to work together in solidarity to counter US tariffs, Deputy PM Richard Marles said. He emphasised that Australia would pursue its own interests and focus on diversifying its trade, strengthening ties with Indonesia, India, UK and UAE. US President Donald Trump has imposed 125% tariffs on China, to which the latter responded with 84% tariffs.
