Australia sues Telegram over alleged failure to remove 'pro-terror' material

Australia's eSafety commissioner said that the country is taking legal action against Telegram over its alleged failure to remove "pro-terror" material from the platform. The regulator alleged that content including videos of terrorist executions and mass shootings remained accessible on Telegram even after it had been put on notice. The commissioner added that this serves to desensitise users.
