Australia to export uranium to India under new agreement

India and Australia finalised the administrative arrangements necessary to enable the export of Australian uranium to India. The uranium will be used for peaceful purposes under International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) safeguards, a joint statement by both nations said. Australia has the world's largest uranium reserves and has made only one shipment of uranium to India, in 2017.
