Australia to get new Deputy PM after incumbent loses party vote

Australia will get a new Deputy PM after incumbent Michael McCormack was defeated by Barnaby Joyce in an election for the leadership of the National Party, a junior partner in the coalition government. As the party's new leader, Joyce becomes Deputy PM and is entitled to a Cabinet post. Joyce will be sworn in on Tuesday.
