Australia to provide temporary visas to refugees from Ukraine

Australia will issue temporary humanitarian visas to refugees from Ukraine, enabling them to study, work and access medicare in the country for up to three years, Australian government has said. About 4,500 visas have been issued to Ukrainians since the Russian invasion, it added. Additionally, the government has provided a grant of AUD$ 450,000 to local communities to assist refugees.
