Australian graphic design site Canva buys 2 European startups

One of Australia's most valuable technology startups, graphic design site Canva, has recently acquired two European startups. It bought Kaleido.ai, an Austrian visual artificial-intelligence startup behind a popular design tool to instantly remove background from a photo or video. It also acquired Czech startup Smartmockups, which allows users to create mockups for T-shirts, mugs and other items.
