Australian telecom giant Telstra to lay off 2,800 people

Telstra layoffs will affect 10% of the total workforce leading to 2,800 people losing their jobs. The layoffs will be implemented and finalised by the end of 2024. The company would take the decision to cut costs and deal with inflation. Telstra CEO Vicki Brady said that the actions will lead to more efficiency and sustainability in the business.
