Austria rejects US request to use airspace against Iran

Austria's Defence Ministry said that it denied "several" requests from the US to use its airspace for military operations against Iran. It cited its longstanding policy of military neutrality for denying the requests. Notably, US' NATO ally Spain also closed its airspace to US planes involved ​in Iran attacks, following which the US said it will reexamine ties with NATO.
