Auto sales jump as SUVs and small cars drive demand: Report

India's retail vehicle sales rose about 26% year-on-year in February, data from the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations showed. Dealers cited strong demand for SUVs and a revival in entry-level hatchbacks after earlier tax changes and rural income gains. Two-wheeler sales also grew around 25%, while passenger vehicle inventory fell to about 27-29 days.
