Autodesk slaps Google with lawsuit over AI movie-making software

California-based Autodesk has sued Google for allegedly infringing its 'Flow' trademark to promote a competing AI-powered software used to make movies, TV shows, and video games. As per the complaint, Autodesk began using Flow in September 2022, but Google launched its Flow software in May 2025, marketing it at industry events, including the Sundance Film Festival. Google hasn't commented yet.
